Discussion:

This timeline provides a overview of the history of classical music, the period of late eighteenth century to early nineteenth century (1870-1925). It displays the lifespan of each of the music composers in that era.

The notable feature of this timlines is the use of overlapping periods. Stacking the rectangles on each other is one way of visualizing this information. Since the height of the timeline can now be arbitary, I had to add a vertical scrollbar control to this display.

Notice the use of multiple composers on the bottom two lines. This is a space saving technique, since the Czerny's life does not start until after Bach's death, it is possible to display them at the same height without Czerny overlapping Bach.
