The non-textual attribute provided by you will be used as basis for ranking the documents retrieved by conventional IR system, it is MG in this system, no matter ranked or boolean retrieval method you chosed. That means the ranking of query result will depends on the non-textual attribute, instead of textual attributes when you specify the non-textual attribute's value.

The non-textual attributes used in this IR system are geographical location(defined by longitude,latitude) and plant classification(defined by phylogenetic code of plants).
