About Me:

I graduated in 2005 with a BS in Computer Science from Texas A&M University. During my undergraduate studies I took an introductory HCI class which gave me a side opportunity to work with Dr. Rick Furuta and Dr. Frank Shipman in the Center for the Study of Digital Libraries (CSDL) on the Walden's Paths Project and furthered my interest in this area. While I am a huge proponent of face-to-face collaboration and communication, I am ever aware of computing needing to help mediate collaboration when this form of synchronous co-located collaboration is not the best option. I enrolled in this class to better understand concepts, practices, and ideas that are constantly evolving the area of computer-assisted collaboration and hope to learn a great deal of information on a topic that is both relevant and interesting to me.
