The Moon Represents My Heart The moon stands for my heart, they say in the east,If you question just look, bright shining above. How romantic the thought, what nice sounding words, That the lovers sit singing so late in the night. The moon stands for my heart, but what does that mean? On this night look how round it brilliantly beams, Sometimes waxes and wanes, oft seen not at all. The moon stands for my heart, how sad that its true. And yet waxing or waning, for full moon or new, All the while stands the moon, regardless the view. When my love just the same, by shadows obscured All the while stands the moon, regardless the view. |
