The God who is Faithful

"What can we say, God is faithful, God is faithful, God is faithful"
-- in an e-mail from a Campus Crusade for Christ summer team in Asia

What changes now and where will I sleep
What city? What country? Are there clean sheets
I prayed and I sought, I waited for You
New plans You have made and where will I sleep?

Lost and uncertain, not in control
All of my schemes, the hopes of my dreams
Long years in the making, forgotten and cold,
Cast off and discarded, there's better I'm told.

Oh God what to do, I have prayed, I have cried
As still more things change, Follow Me You replied
Prayer and more prayers as the outlook grows dim
Yet through it all You are faithful and true.

A picture takes shape and meaning congeals
Your plans fall in place as mine fall apart
Far better I see, than I had in mind
Again You have proved, You are faithful and true.
