What you can & can't use

You can bring & use:

Figure 1: Scantron for Exams

  • Scantron (See Figure 1)
  • Pencil

For example, you can't use:

  • Textbook
  • Notes
  • Cell Phone
  • Calculator
  • Computer
  • If you think of something else, refer to what you can bring above.

What you can do before an exam

Fill in your scantron with the following:

  • Name
  • UIN
  • Dept., i.e. CSCE
  • Course No., i.e. 110
  • Section, i.e. your lab section number
  • Instructor, i.e. J. Michael Moore
  • Date
  • Exam, i.e. Exam 1, Exam 2, Exam 3, or Final Exam

You must write in data as well as bubbling it in where both are available. I.e. Make all of the information both human readable and machine readable.

(Note: You'll have to wait until you get your test booklet to know which form to fill in.)

What to do when you get to an exam

  • Fill all seats starting on the front row.
  • A row must be completely filled before students can start filling in the next row.
  • Please, sit in the furthest seat from the aisle so students don't have to step over people to sit down.
