The beer that my brother and I made in the basement
tasted like sour yeast.
There was quite a lot of it since the recipe,
given to me by Linda's brother (who was in college)
made five gallons.
We sipped small amounts in paper cups
before we left for the lake.
Dad stayed at home. He didn't like the solitude of the lake.

The beer was all gone when we got back.
