Team Chapter Coverage
The class will self-divide into three member groups.
The second student, the discussant, will be responsible for promoting scholarly discussion by providing several arguable points for the class to consider. The discussion will last approximately 20 minutes. The discussion points should be presented via the WWW.
The third student, the hunter-gatherer, will be responsible for hunting down and gathering external resources of People, Places, and Projects (3 P's) that deal with the topics discussed in the chapter. The review of the 3 P's will last approximately 15 mintues and will be presented via the WWW.
Team Design Project
The class will self-divide into three member groups. Each group will design and prototype a future interactive device. We will brainstorm some of these devices and device ideas in class and you will see interesting ideas in the book and other readings for the class. The device will require some amount of industrial design. That is, the device will be a new physical object in the real world. We are as interested in the design process as we are the user interface. All design projects must be approved. This will be discussed in detail in class.
