I was borne in August 1, 1970, in Mexico City. I lived there for 26 years, until 1996 when I came to the United Stated to conduct my graduate studies.
I have an Electronics and Communications Engineering degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana (Mexico), and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Texas A&M (USA) and a Ph.D. in Computer Science also in Texas A&M.
From the academic perspective, my research interests include (but are not limited to) Intelligent User Interfaces, Hypermedia, Digital Libraries, Medical Informatics, Human-Computer Interaction, Compute Supported Cooperative Work, and Software Engineering.
Other interests in my life include sports, travelling, languages, reading, and, every once in a while, fixing the world over a cup of coffee.
