Interesting discussion of Cognoter limitations and the implications of the design assumptions embedded in Cognoter. Although the message about the limitations that could be solved by technological means is valuable, the most valuable point is the require for using a proper conversation model when designing a collaborative system. In this case, the designers did not realize that they where making design decision and addressing tradeoffs until the analysis of the system phase.
