Assignment part A
Prepare a Web page providing at least the following information:
- Your name and preferred email address
- A recognizable picture of you
- A brief biographical sketch, at least one or two paragraphs long. The
sketch, which could be in the form of a vita, should, at the least, identify
your interests of relevance to the class, the classes you have taken, and any
relevant jobs/internships you may have had.
Turn in the URL of your Web page. You may send this by email to the instructor
if you prefer.
Unless you request otherwise, the page will be linked to a class roster on the
course's home page.
Assignment part B
In this section of the assignment, you are to prepare two short essays (typed,
not handwritten please).
- Write no more than two pages (i.e., no more than around 500 words)
about the best human-computer interface that
you have used. Describe the interface and explain why you selected it as the
best. Would the interface be good for a range of users and tasks, or just a
specific subset? Might others consider this to be a poor interface, and if so,
why? How might you improve on its design?
- Write no more than two pages about the worst human-computer interface that
you have used. Describe the interface and why you selected it as the worst.
Why might the designers have developed the interface in the way that they did?
Might others consider this to be a good interface, and if so, why?
What might you do to improve on its design?
