We are currently using ItLv to depict, browse, and explore metadata associated with a collection of artworks by Pablo Ruiz Picasso. Our goal is not only to discover ways in which a visualization tool can help scholars to discover facts, patterns, or relationships among the entities in a repository of artworks, but also -in the case of Picasso- to find correlations between events in his life and his artistic production. The digital collection of artworks used is drawn from the On-line Picasso Project’s collection of images; a World-Wide Web accessible collection devoted to the renown Spanish artist’s life and work.
