Ftpmail Sample Output

You send the following to ftpmail@salton_isr

open
dir
quit

Ftpmail sends you three kinds of messages:

• An Acknowledgement of Reciept of Your Mail

Once the Ftpmail server receives your request, it sends an acknowledgement immediately

• The Output of Your Commands

If the commands contain several file requests or the requested file exceeds the mail maximum size, there will be several mails for the output. In a busy Ftpmail server, this message will arrive quite a while after the acknowledgement.

• A Full Record of Dialogue with the FTP Server

You can check this message if your request was not completed somehow.
