The OHS is looking into developing standard protocols for many different kinds of structure servers. Although the group began its work by looking at standardizing a protocol between link servers and their clients, we have recently expanded our focus to include other kinds of structure, such as that found in spatial hypertext, taxonomic hypertext, or transclusion structures. Work in these other areas is still immature - nonetheless, we intend to address these areas in the near future. Currently, only the navigation area is under active development.
