The Hyperware project at UC Irvine has an opening for a "research specialist". This position is of limited duration (one year) and is available from July 1, 1997 onwards. Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in computer science or a closely related field. The position is focused on advancing the integration of open hypertext systems (OHS) with the WWW. Applicants should have extensive experience in building OHSs, be knowledgable of WWW protocols, and have a strong background in software engineering.

Some undergraduate teaching responsibilities are also anticipated. Applicants should send an application with c.v. by July 2, 1997 to:
