Getting started with Insect Collection Species Browser

Texas A&M University Insect Collection Species Browser

To get started with the Species Browser:

You will need a WWW browser that can handle Javascript 1.1 (such as Netscape 3.0).
You need to have Javascript enabled.
You should probably turn off the option which notifies you when you accept cookies.

After you start the system, if you cannot see the row of buttons with the "Help" button in the top frame, use the mouse to resize the top frame so the buttons are visible.

When you first use the system, press the "Help" button in the top frame, then select the "general information for newcomers" link at the top of the screen. Each screen configuration has its own special help file, so if you get into a situation you haven't seen before, "Help" should explain what is being shown.
