This system will seek a direct match between the
string entered in the box above and the text content of 'records' present
in the Flora2k system. Entry of the string 'dusky' will, for instance,
return three taxa with 'dusky' in the local name. The matching process
applies to technical name, author, or any text string present in
the base, indexed file. Since taxa are not listed by family, family names
will not produce a return.
CAUTION: All records (species) with matching
strings will be returned to your browser as a single HTML document. Thus,
entry of the string 'texas' will produce a single document (nearly 2mb)
that carries all Texas species.
