History
Hoffmannseggia tenella was first proposed as an endangered species on November 21, 1984 and became listed as an endangered species on Novermber 1, 1985. Propagation techniques are being studied at the Kika de la Garza Plant Materials Center near Kingsville. Also, Loretta Pressly of Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi recently received a $5000 grant from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to gather more information about the Slender Rush Pea and obtain information that will help wild populations to flourish.
