An unarmed shrub about 2-5 feet tall with alternate leaves that are oval and toothed.
Life span of at least 10 years.  Flowers with 5 small green, pink, or cream colored petals.  One population known from the United States in Texas.  It is part of the same family as the cocoa plant Listed as endangered in 1994.
